1. Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication\/ MA(JMC)<\/p>\n

Eligibility Criteria<\/p>\n

Age Limit: As per Himachal Pradesh University norms.<\/p>\n

Educational Qualifications: Graduation (or equivalent) degree in any discipline from a recognized University established by law with at least 50% marks (45% marks) in case of SC\/ST candidates).<\/p>\n

Admission: The admission shall strictly be on the basis of merit achieved in the entrance process. The entrance process will be of 100 marks and will be held in two stages: Written Test (80 marks); and Personal Interview (20 marks). The minimum qualifying marks in the written test are 35. The marks of both the written test and personal interview will be added for the final merit. A maximum of three-times the candidates in each category will be invited for the personal interview stage.<\/p>\n

2. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.)<\/p>\n

Ph.D. is a full time regular course of study pursued by regular attendance in classes and seminars. A candidate seeking admission to the Ph. D. course must have at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC\/ST) in the subject concerned at Master’s level. The qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for admission shall be 50%.
